About Me

I am a Video Codec Engineer at ZOOM Singapore, where I focus on optimizing real-time video codecs.

Previously, I worked as a Senior Researcher at Tencent Media Lab and Tencent Video from July 2021 to September 2024, focusing on image and video compression. My work covered image/video codec optimization, Video Coding for Machines (VCM), and Neural Network-based Video Coding (NNVC).

I received my Ph.D. degree from the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering at Wuhan University, supervised by Prof. Zhenzhong Chen. My doctoral research focused on rate control, region-of-interest (ROI) coding, and perceptual optimization for video compression. I also have experience in image and video quality assessment.
